To submit your films please upload them to our YouTube group http://uk.youtube.com/group/switchguestlist or email them to [email]switchguestlist@monkeykingdom.com[/email] :D Metallica announce release date of 'Death Magnetic' AlbumThe final piece of the jigsaw is finally in place and Metallica have now revealed that their hugely anticipated new album entitled 'Death Magnetic' will be released in the UK and the rest of the world on September 12th 2008.Also, for you collector types out there Metallica have put together something special for when "Death Magnetic" is released. A special edition box in the shape of a coffin will come out on the same day as the album. It will include the full CD; along with everything cool relating to "Death Magnetic". Inside the box there will be a CD with the demos of the songs plus a DVD of even more "making of the album" footage not seen on the band's new website, Mission: Metallica. There will also be a t-shirt which is only available in this box, a flag, guitar picks, and a fold out poster along with a collector's credit card embossed with a code to redeem a free download of a special European show happening in September (full details coming soon!). The coffin box will only be available through metallica.com, metclub.com, and missionmetallica.com The band also headlines Leeds (August 22nd) and Reading (August 24th) festivals ! iFrisk Coming to Airports Near You?A report on News.com.au says music fans might soon have their iPods searched by Customs officers at airport security - and face jail if pirated music is found on them.The report, from local indie newspaper mX, quotes the Choice.com.au director who points out that such a legal standpoint could be due to USA involvement, "US music labels are keen for their government to sign up other countries to the zero-tolerance stance." Deecat - Northwest Music Festival This WeekendIn the North West of England this weekend (Saturday 26th!) then head over to the DEECAT Festival! The Deeside Community Action Team has been set up to organise and run music festivals and other local events involving the community. Following the success of 2006's DEECAT music festival held in Wepre Park, 2008 brings even more acts and a bigger better festival to be held in the summer, showcasing local talent for all to see. It is a chance for young artists to gain a wider audience and access to the local music scene. More info including line up at Deecat.co.uk Coldplay Announce 2008 UK TourColdplay have just announced that they will play several dates in the UK in the coming months, the first in three years.Viva La Vida, their new album is released next month so their 10 arena shows across the UK will tie in nicely. They will end on a high with a two night set in the London O2 arena.
